Great Performance, Reasonable Price!  Time owned: more than 12 months
I purchased one of the first "2010 Version" Down East Microwave Incorporated ( DEMI ) model 432-28 transverters about a year ago. I did this based on my previous experiences with DEMI's new 144-28 and 222-28 transverters. During this first year of ownership I've used the 432-28 in all the ARRL VHF/UHF contests and in the Spring and Fall Sprints.

I'm using a FLEX Radio HF transceiver that has a low level transverter input and output. Instructions for interfacing to other types and brands of transceivers are included in the manual.

How does the DEMI 432-28 transverter perform?

The power output shows no RF compression or clipping when driven to full rated output and the receive sensitivity seems excellent.
( BTW, I don't use an external receive pre-amp )

I have six high power HDTV UHF stations 10 - 15 air miles away in Madison, WI and another four high power HDTV stations about 45 miles away in Rockford, IL. I've detected no interference with the antenna aimed in any direction.

Also no issues with local 440 FM repeaters or commercial 2-Way Radio.

On-Air reports have been very complimentary - probably due to the transparency of the transverter and the fine audio quality associated with the FLEX Radio HF transceiver.
( Be sure not to overdrive it! )

After a five minute warm-up there is no noticeable drift in frequency.

With a single 18 element yagi at 60 feet, I can work similarly equipped stations 100 to 200 miles away. When there is tropospheric enhancement distances can be much greater.

When ordering any transverter, make sure you clearly communicate the type of HF transceiver that you will be using with it and the method of inter-connection and control.
