Better than expected  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
OK, I've only just put up the antenna, but the results are simply better than I had expected. I purchased the 80M antenna, and have an SWR under 2.0 from 3.645 to 2.936. Under 3.0 from 3.570 to 4.000.

Its opened up the entire band with my TS-2000 and its built in tuner.

As of this date, the temp outside is -33c, and expected to stay thatway for about 2 weeks. So, if it breaks, I'll update this review. But for now it's got me impressed!

GREAT  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
KE4NBP: THIS ANTENNA IS AS AVERTIZED. IT IS VERY FORGIVING. ITS ONLY UP 30’ FEET, END WRAPPED TO MAKE IT FIT MY SMALL LOT AND STILL I HAVE RECEIVED GREAT REPORTS ON BOTH MY AUTO AND SIGINAL STRENGTH. I AM NOW ABLE TO HEAR STATIONS THAT I NORMALLY CAN NOT HEAR. MY ONLY CONPLAINT IS I AM UNABLE TO GET THE ANTENNA ONLY 30’ IN THE AIR.

GREAT ANTENNA FOR THE PRICE  Time owned: more than 12 months
THE HORSE FENCE WORKS GREAT BUT SOMETIMES I RASE IT TO HIGH AND MY HORSE GETS OUT. IT I VERY EASY TO TUNE ON ANY BAND AND I HAVE TALKED TO N5IXE IN HOT SPRINGS ARK ON 5 W. ON 3.855 AND I LIVE IN GATE CITY VA. N5IXE ROCO WAS ALSO ON 5W. I HAVE TALKED TO SEVERAL STATIONS OVER SEAS AND I USE A KENWOOD TS480HX 200 WATTS, I HAVE NO AMP.

A+ Antenna  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Bought one for 40 and 80 after several reviews. I was a little cautious about stainless steel but decided to try anyway. I could not be more pleased. It is better than any dipole I have ever built. Broadbanded across the entire 75M band, no tuner needed. 40 meter across the entire band with below 1.5SWR. You will not be disappointed with this antenna.

Best wire antenna  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
Using it from 80-10M with a Palstar AT2KD tuner.Compared it to a G5RV,OFC Windom and Buckmaster($300).Outperformed them ALL!!!Get 20/9 reports nightly on the GA.SSB net,running 100w.Great DX ant also as have over 200 confirmed in the last year.Highly recommended,Louis N4MWR Augusta,Ga.

Norris Price , kf4bwg GENIUS  Time owned: more than 12 months
the inventor of this antenna is a personal friend of mine and has been for 0ver 12 years
his name is noris price , kf4bwg
this is not his first brush with genius.
norris has credentials.
he invented and patented an automatic mortar
spreading machine for brick and block layers that
was exhibited at the worlds fair expo in paris france.
also at the time being in a thriving tobacco state norris invented and patented a very successful tobbaco grading machine.
so he is in my estimate a true genius.
he once came to my campsite in tennessee and sat down in a lawn chair , drove a nail into an oak tree , proceeded to tune up the tree and talked all over the state on vhf.
ive had this horse fence about a year , never need to tune on 75 meters and i use it the entire length of the band.
never a problem , i live in hot springs , ar.
and i generally get a signal report of 20 over s9 in memphis tenn.
im happy with my friend.
norris and im happy with my horse fence antenna
i was on 10 meters the other day , wasnt tuned up
and on 40 watts i worked the cz republic , france and bulgaria on this antenna.
its actually awesome.
enough said , get a horse fence and talk where you want , norris knows what hes doing.

god bless n5ixe

Excellent Antenna  Time owned: more than 12 months

I have been using the Horse Fence Antenna, now for the past several years, matter of fact i own an 80 meter and a 160 meter Horse antenna, they have both been exposed to the snow, ice and hard winds with no problems. They are positioned with the ends of the 80 meter antenna pointing east and west flat topped at 100 foot, now the 160 meter ends are looking north and south and it's flat topped at 125 feet.

In the 33 years i've been in amateur radio the Horse Fence Antenna, is one the best antennas i've used, besides my Mosley Classic CL33.

My thoughts on the Horse-fence antenna.  Time owned: more than 12 months
I have been searching for a real broad-band antenna, since i got my license, and here it is. I finally found it ( The Horse-fence antenna ). On the general portion of the band, on 75-80 meters, it is 1.4 at 3.800 mhz and 1.0 at 3.900 mhz and 1.3 at 4.000 mhz. This 80 meter version is good on 10 meters too. My audio is noticeable higher also. I dont even use a tuner on the general portion of the band, but i use the tuner when i go down to the extra portion of 80 meters. I liked it so much that i bought a 40 meter Horsefence too. The 40 meter is 1.0 across most of the band and 1.2 at each end. My 40 meter is good on 20 meter band(1.3) and 15 meter band (1.3) too without a tuner. Of coarse u can tune them more if you want too, to get the swr down to 1.0. All the other bands you can tune very easy. This is the very best antenna that i have found for HF and i have looked and tried over 25 different kinds of antennas since i got my license in Feb.of 2001. If you want to hear them for yourself, just tune in to 3.976 mhz every morning at 8 am Eastern time and listen for yourself. If you want to look at them or purchase one, just go to kf4bwg.com , you will not be disappointed. Everyone have a great day. I am going back and enjoy mine somemore. Talk to you later on the HF bands.

Works Great  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
This is the best HF antenna that i have ever used and i have tryed many dipoles before.I have got a 80 meter horse fence antenna up about 40 or 45 feet high and i can work the general band from the top to the bottom without a tuner with no more then a 1.5 SWR anywhere on the band. It works great on all the other bands also which i do use a tuner but on 10 meters i have no more than a 2 SWR on that band which i do touch it up with the tuner.I have talked all over the world with this antenna and got great reports. It is a very broadband antenna and i am going to purchase a 40 meter horse fence antenna very soon.

Great Antenna  Time owned: more than 12 months
I had never heard of such an antenna until one night I was talking with a good friend of mine in NC. He was about 9 over on my meter and he asked me to hold on while he switched antenna's. When he came back on his signal was 20 over and loud. I thought he had turned on an amplifier. That was when I was introduced to the Horse Fence Antenna by KF4BWG. This is a great antenna, easy to use and very broad banded. I can work the entire band without the use of a tuner with 1.4 SWR at the highest point. I liked this antenna so much I bought two more, a 40 meter and a 20 meter and just like the 80 meter one, they all work fantastic. Once you own a horse fence, you will never go back to a wire antenna.
