Great trail tuner  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Loved the kit. Putting it together was about two hours of leisurely fun. As a previous review noted, the board is a tight fit, but if you get it lined up straight it goes in properly.

I've been using it with a wire cut a hair long for 40m and it tunes 40-20m (I haven't tried 15m) easily.

Great tuner for trail use  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I bought this tuner for SOTA trail use - it weighs just 3.5 oz in the optional enclosure. A few pointers for kit builders:

1. Don't overtighten the capacitor mounting screws - they should barely be snug, that's all - otherwise the capacitor shaft will be too hard to turn
2. I added a #4 star lockwasher between the capacitor shaft extension and the capacitor shaft.
3. I had to open up the hole slightly for the RCA connector with a hand reamer
4. The board is a very tight fit in the enclosure, but it does fit
5. If you decide to add the second binding post, be careful to avoid the torroid. You will probably have to twist/bend its solder lug to reach the ground pad.

I'll post a follow-up after getting more experience with it but it seems to tune quite well. I wish more of a tuning knob was included with the kit, but a minor quibble. Great support from Stu.
