Reviews Summary for Maxgain Systems Inc. fiberglass masts
Reviews: 2 Average rating: 5.0/5 MSRP: $(missing—add MSRP)
Description: Announcing Max-Gain Systems, Inc.'s line of heavy duty (1/8
inch thick wall on all tubes ... not the thin walled
"glorified fishing poles" sold by some) ... fiberglass
push-up masts!

We currently offer eight versions of our mast kits, from our
50 foot (maximum extended length) model MK-8-HD to our "most
popular" model MK-6-HD, to our 21.5 foot model MK-4.
Between these models, we offer a wide range of sizes and
combinations ideal for a great many uses! These packages
each contain the fiberglass tubes (MK-8 series has 8 foot
long tubes, MK-6 series has 6 foot long tubes, and MK-4
series has 4 foot ling tubes) plus all sizes of our Quik-
Clamps needed for your model, at a package discount price.
(Guy rings and guy rope sold separately.) We also offer our
8 foot lengths of fiberglass tube "by-the-piece", and sell
our Quik-Clamps individually, so you can create your own
custom mast, perfect for your particular use!

We offer two options on material for the special screws used
in our Quik-Clamps with your choice of material supplied at
same cost. See discussion of options, here:

Sturdy, reliable mast  Time owned: more than 12 months
I have a MK-6 standard mast. I use it at the residence to support a 6 meter dipole, and I take it to the beach several times a year to support the far end of an end fed wire 70' long.

I have been very satisfied with this product.

It was easy to assemble (take your time, let the glue dry), is easy to erect/take down, and very sturdy. (I put it up and take it down alone, but with two people it's a snap. With one person, there is some traipsing back and forth, adjusting the guy lines until it's full height).

At the beach, there is a constant breeze/wind to contend with, on top of the weight of the wire. I guy it with lightweight line (the 1/8" poly or nylon kind), and a set of 12" yellow plastic camping tent pegs. It has never failed me.

I've seen some people complain about the flex in the pole. This is not excessive, and is very normal for fiberglass. If you don't want flex, pour some concrete and install steel ;-) The flex is what keeps it from snapping.

If you do use this mast in a sandy environment, be sure to disassemble it after each use, and give it a thorough hosing off. The tolerances between the telescoping sections are close enough you can freeze sections of it together.

That happened to me. It won't happen again.

To their credit, the MaxGain guys stood behind their product.

In short, there are cheaper products, lighter weight products, but none that extend this high (30' in my case) at this weight and at this price.

Great product - great service!  Time owned: more than 12 months
I own 3 of the Maxgain fiberglass push-up masts. They have been an asset for me in raising various antennas at my qth. Allen is very professional and will take the time to answer all questions. Great job!
