works good where the stock mount failed  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Hello,I just recently purchased a Yaesu FTM 350 AR.
The radio is great but if you want to hang it off your windshield like I do the stock suction mount failed. After visiting the local ham store and finding a better than stock suction mount but with only a clamping device for head I decided to search the internet.I found an aftermarket suction mount made by Panavise that seemed would do the trick.Their claim was that their mount would hold up to 3 pounds This was good as I had bought some thin black leather which I had cut draped over all sides of head to deter a thief. With a simple lift of front panel and with the addition of a little piece of Velcro I can see the display very good. The head is now hidden with the exception of suction cup showing from the outside of window. There I plan on finding some sort of sticker to place on outside of window. The head plate comes with four holes one at each corner. Here I decided to drill a larger hole more at center of plate plus added quality foam double sticky tape for added strenth. This mount is adjustable for many different angles. Nothing like
finding something that works !
