Excellnet  Time owned: more than 12 months
I bought the AA-1000 about 2 years ago for work. We use it for the GOES satellite data uploads at 400 mhz for our water level monitoring.

We wanted something reliable, yet reasonably priced and easy to use. I can quickly connected the uplink antenna and ensure that the and feedlines are ok.

I have also used the TDR time and time again to check out the feedlines at the contest station. It quickly showed a problem with had with some hardline that saved us hours of frustration. The TDR is a must have!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this or purchase another unit.

Buy one if you can afford  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
I got one of these when my MFJ 269 cooked its diodes (common event sadly). Use it to tune my 472khz MF antenna system and recently when rebuilding my shack I used it to check all patch leads for integrity. Awesomely easy to use. Not a cheap piece of kit but no lappy needed like for my VNA. Well worth the money. Jim G7NKS IO92ub

Besides a HAM our company owns a rigexpert-1000 and a 600 We use it for my work as GMDSS radio inspector and also at Oil and gas platforms in the Northsea. It is a perfect tool, not only for the radio-HAM but also for the radio professional. Excellent!
Its light weight, accurate and the data saving feature is perfect for documentation.
It helped us out lots of times!

Never without it  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
Used for setting up my new Optibeam OB9-5.
Great for adjusting the antenna and also found problems in my cable connectors.
I like the graphs on the PC , which I sent to others for evaluation.

Powerful tool  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
We chose the Rig Expert AA-1000 for a project at work to analyze 900MHZ GSM antennas. We needed to save the scans for future use.
Using the AA-1000 was a breeze, and it's lightweight portability made the job a snap.
Saving the scans to a PC is also extremely easy.

Highly recommend this product!
