A very well made antenna, quality parts, quick service  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
We purchased 2 of these antennas, and being new to Amateur Radio, after searching many antenna designs, we decided to try this Windom. The antennas were received well packaged and in only three days UPS standard. Installing the antennas was relatively easy.We mounted our hanging Balun OCF at the peaks of our roofs using a 2 foot side arm for one antenna and a 4 foot sidearm for the other. The arms were purchased from Buxcom also, and are made of fiberglass. The sidearms mount easily on the mast, however,upon tightening the brackets, the square fiberglass arm begins to contort, which does not allow us to tighten the support arm enough to prevent the arm from drooping too much, especially the 4 foot sidearm. The mfg needs to provide a 45 degree support brace for these arms, and also better support where the arm is tightened to the mast mount. We are constructing our own modifications to these arms because they will never withstand a New England winter!! We will provide a follow up on the antenna performance across the bands soon.The rating is based upon construction of the antenna and ease on assembly.
