Square loop performance  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
In search of a small footprint antenna for 20 meters and up, I found a square loop on the Gulf -Alpha website. After reviewing the specs, I decided to order one out.

On arrival, the antenna was assembled and erected on a thirty foot mast.
Initial impression was less noise than a triband vertical which was the control antenna. Signal strength was pretty close.

Since I elected to feed mine with balanced line and a 4-1 balun, I was pleasantly surprised to find the antenna to be usable on 20, 15, 12, and 10 meters without a tuner.

Construction deserves comment, both materials and workmanship are top quality. The antenna is very robust and should last forever.

The antenna works as advertised and needs no apologies. A beam it is not. A fairly omnidirectional horizontally polarized antenna it is.

If you are space limited, this is a solid choice in more ways than one.
