Reviews Summary for OptiBeam OB804030 high performance low band tribander 80-40-30m
OptiBeam OB804030 high performance low band tribander 80-40-30m Reviews: 1 Average rating: 5.0/5 MSRP: $7,300
Description: The OB804030 is a special low band triband Yagi covering 80, 40 and 30m with a single coaxial feed line.
The core of the antenna is the OB2-80s, a 2el 80m monobander, shortened by high Q coils and in addition by a special computer designed end loading, on a 10m = 33 feet long boom. Included is the OptiBeam 4 step multi switch, a relay controlled system which allows to cover the most important parts of the 80m band.
Interlaced are an OB2-40, a 2el high Q coil shortened 40m monobander and an OB2-30, a 2el high Q coil shortened 30m monobander.
All three interlaced monobanders are commonly fed by a single coaxial feed line, on the basis of the OptiBeam directly coupled driver feed system.
A very special and unique triband Yagi for the low frequencies.
Product is in production.

Best Low Band Beam Ever  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
I have been an amateur radio operator since 1974. I have owned several different antenna systems including Hi-Gain, Mosley, Butternut, Force 12 and M squared. The Optibeam OB804030 is by far the most superior low band yagi both electrically and mechanically I've ever owned. It was not difficult to build and it is not overly large in size or weight. It is a 6 element yagi using 2 elements for 10 MHZ, 2 elements for 7 MHZ, and 2 elements for 3.5 MHZ.
It plays fantastic, and I'm hearing signals clearly that were once just static. Thank You Tom DF2BO for producing such a great product. I'd recommend it to anyone.
