Reviews Summary for Alpha Antenna 6-80 Dipole
Alpha Antenna 6-80 Dipole Reviews: 1 Average rating: 5.0/5 MSRP: $199
Description: Built upon the proven technologies of the Alpha Match rated at 1KW PEP, the entire system nearly eliminates the need for an additional antenna tuner on 6 meters and allows wide band tuners to match 10 through 80 meters. 20 Watts required to efficiently operate the solid state Alpha Match.

Specifically designed with the smallest foot print possible, this antenna system is designed for Condos, Hotels, Retirement Communities, & Apartments where no other antenna system will work.

Deployed, the entire antenna system is approximately 11 feet in length. When placed on a balcony, this antenna system performs similarly to a mobile HF antenna system when parked next to a building. If used indoors, the antenna system begins to lose effectiveness primarily on 6 meters, however, a surrounding structure could impede all bands depending upon the buildings construction materials. Also included is an easy to deploy aluminum tripod that stands 6 1/2 feet high. Integrated 24x3/8 bolt allows for multiple mounting options to be selected.

Mounting options available from Alpha Antenna include:
a) Top of Mast Mount with PL259 & 24x3/8 Stud
b) 6 Foot 6 Inch Military Type Heavy Duty Steel Tripod with Mast and Top of Mast Mount
c) Alpha Stainless Steel Quick Release Jaw Clamp-On Antenna Mount with PL259 & 24x3/8 Stud
d) 24 Foot Tripod Tower with Leveling Leg & Top of Mast Mount with PL259 & 24x3/8 Stud
e) 6 1/2 foot aluminum tripod with 24x3/8 top stud

Good things do come in small packages!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Finally, a 6-80 meter dipole that I can put on my deck. The manufacturer web site says to expect mobile type results from this 10 foot long antenna, which my experience has shown me is about right. Some examples of my QSO's on 20 meters from yesterday include OM7CM in Slovakia who gave me a signal report of S3 and a station Cuba who reported me at an S5. State side I am getting signal reports averaging an S7 on 40 and 17 Meters. My entire setup includes a tripod from Alpha Antenna along with their bag and mount. Now everything (the tripod, a pair of really heavy duty stainless steel telescopic whips, and the Alpha Match) fits into the bag from Alpha Antenna that is little more than two feet long. I even had enough room left over in the bag for my battery, coax, Radio Shack power supply, and Ft-817ND with RM Italy amp.
