Reviews Summary for PreciseRF 2-Tone Generator
PreciseRF 2-Tone Generator Reviews: 1 Average rating: 5.0/5 MSRP: $239.50
Description: The TTG1 delivers standard 2-tone 700Hz and 1900 Hz audio signals for testing radio transmitters and RF amplifiers, and adjusting modulation settings. The TTG1 operates on a 9V battery (included). The line level out (150mV 3V) may be connected directly to the microphone connector of most transceivers. The 700/1900Hz TTG1 frequencies result in 3rd order products of 3100 Hz and 5th order products of 4300 Hz. Transmitter linearity may be determined by examining the 2-tone modulated transceiver RF output on an oscilloscope, station monitor or spectrum analyzer. The TTG1 comes fully assembled in a blue-baked enamel premium shielded die cast aluminum alloy housing. The complete specifications are as follow:

Nice Instrument  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
If you want to make 2-tone tests, this unit is one to consider. Very well built and easy to use. I did find the output level too hot to apply directly to the microphone input of my transceiver, so I built an external attenuator that also provided PTT (see the Product Modifications section of my website at
