Agree with the previous gentleman. I bought this book thinking it would be a good primer on CW. It is nothing of the sort. I have since discovered what I was hoping this book would be. It is called Zen and the Art of Radiotelegraphy. It is free, google it.

If you buy this 'guide' consider it a donation to ARRL. I doubt if a new ham could actually use this manual to make a successful contact. A chatty argument for the 'fun' of CW but bereft of much actual operating info and fleshed out with charts and lists that could easily be downloaded off the internet for free.

At 18 dollars plus shipping, this puffed up pamphlet is the worst value for money that this ARRL life member has ever purchased from the league.
