R+C mag was born from a CB mag (bet that shocked you:-). Australias only CB magazine, CB Action ran a "how to become a radio ham" series which grew into a seperate monthly pull out section. This became Amateur Radio Action magazine. Eventually the two merged to form Radio and Communications magazine. This mag contains amateur radio, CB radio and scanning articles and until 2001 was steering more towards amateur radio only. Jan 2001 issue was under new managment and is attempting to get back to covering the wider spread of interest.
There is now two radio magazines in aus, but R+C is the better choice.
