nice low cost VNA for the (semi) prof   Time owned: 3 to 6 months
Nice small usb-controlled VNA that goes from 400 up to 4000 MHz. We use it in a professional environment and it performs very well for development of electronics containing WiFi, bluetooth, etc.
It it also performs very nicely on the UHF amateur bands.

We also got a VNA from R&S which goes higher in freq, but up to 4GHz this MegiQ device gives very similar results.

Fully bi-directional saving time measuring two-port circuits. The software is very intuitive and has a lot of functions that come handy on the workbench, like a function that automatically calculate matching circuits and emulates them. There is also a version with internal programmable bias generator and bias-Tees.

We really need the vector information for calculating matches.

And wneed the upper limit of 4000MHz and in that frequency range this is the lowest cost unit we found. And, for us, this unit is worth every penny.
