Beware! 10ga zip cord incompatible with Powerpole connectors!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Recently purchased 10AWG zip cord from Powerwerx. The overall diameter of the wire (including insulation) is too big for 15/30/45 amp Powerpole connector bodies-- Powerpole specs are 0.175" diameter max but the wire is 0.200".

Powerwerx responses are:
- Not our problem. We buy cheap wire from China and it varies in overall diameter. We buy the cheap Chinese wire so we can pass the savings along to you.
- The wire is "in spec" ... even though it's not!
- The wire will work-- just jam it into the connector body with a screwdriver or trim the insulation all the way back so it doesn't enter the connector body (thus leaving open the possibility of exposed copper) or shave off some of the insulation with an X-acto knife.
- We won't pay for return postage of the out-of-spec wire. We won't pay for postage of replacement 12 gauge wire.
- We will send some free replacements for the Powerpole contacts and connector body that were destroyed while trying get the oversized wire to work.
