I was looking for a software to run digital modes like PSK31 with my SunSDR2 Pro on a netbook, having less power (2GB RAM, Atom QuadCore Z3740 (1,33GHz)) than recommended by the manufacturer from the SDR (4GB RAM, Intel Core i3 1.6 GHz or better), because I want to use a lightweight computer with a 10" screen for portable use.

I tried some of other software like HDR & Digital Master 780, MultiPSK, etc but all of them crashed on my netbook due to power issues. However, all of these software did run well on my PC.

Finally, only MixW runs successfully on my netbook, and it does what it shall do.

Conclusion: Other software than MixW do a great job on a powerful computer, but only MixW runs great on my weak netbook. Therefore, MixW is rated with 5!

The program is by far the best. Now version 3.2 going. Everything is on one screen, easy to use. Log in the same box. Indicates the missing countries in different colors. There are a lot of subtleties that are not in the other is not.

Poor support now!  Time owned: more than 12 months
I have used Mixw for over 14yrs but now 2016 there seems to be no support. DXCC is in need of a update etc. Shame as its a much better data prog than what is available at the moment. Very easy to use. What a shame that its been left to fester!

I've used the application since the 2. days, and it was the best out there. It been changes in years. You still have to copy dll to add modes. The program doesn't support windows 10. The application also doesn't export logs very well into my logging program (AC Log), nor is the log program good enough to replace AC Log.

It is getting old and tired, and needs a face lift - BAD

Needs upgraded call lookup function  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Have used MixW 2.20 for some time. Upgraded to 3.1.1. There is very little different or improved from the old version. Call sign lookup is still bound to physical CDROM and cannot use the QRZ XML subscription. I'd recommend sticking to 2.20 until substantial improvement is made to 3.x.

Worthwhile Update  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Downloaded and installed the 3.0 update with no problems at all. All settings obtained from the old MixW2 installation. An Internet connection is only necessary for activating the license. The program operates without the Internet UNLESS you want to use the new Internet functions like call sign lookup or Google Earth (both of which are really neat features).

I've been using MixW since it's first version and never had any issues with it. The latest upgrade is certainly worthwhile.
