First class Outboard DSP Unit  Time owned: unknown months
I have had a Timewave DSP-59Y in use for almost a year. It is mounted in a Yaesu SP-6 External Speaker. I use it will all rigs including Yaesu
FT-990, FT-900CAT, FT-747GX and MFJ CW QRP rigs.
Main initial shock was steep learning curve even
after using MFJ-784s. Steep learning curve is
simply indication of multitude of features available. I also like the double inputs for two
radios. The DSP does a great job on both CW and
SSB. It does center frequency and bandwidth for
CW and high ut/low cut for SSB. Also a great feature is the digital readout of selections and
frequencies, etc. The manual is complete
and well thought out. About the only downside is
the small button switches, necessary because of
form factor. I used MFJ-784s previously but the
DSP-59Y is a real winner.
