The Galaxy V Mark 3 is a 80 thru 10 meter transceiver rated 500 watts PEP input. Features are six pole xtal lattice filter, logging scale, solid state VFO, CW sidetone and break-in operation, CW filter option and ALC. Reasonable selectivity, sensitivity drops off at 10 meters. Alignment shares a slug tuned coil on 40 and 10 meters, thus both bands are a compromise. (A Heathkit 301 receiver has seperate coils for each band). Not a classic high performer like a Drake B or C line, but a fun to operate classic. A 'cut above' a Tempo, prefer a dual conversion SB102. No contest compared to a FT101.
