Briefly servicable, could be better  Time owned: more than 12 months
The mount itself seems to be relatively useful, and well built initially. There is foam pad between the metal and the trunk lid, but it does not really protect the paint - use a coating to do so.

The mounting hardware is solid, and the mount never moved or shifted.

However, the end of the coax at the mount terminates in a solder blob with a piece of plastic over the top. Needless to say this rusted into uselessness within a couple of years, resulting in poor SWR.

Either protect and coat this if you find it for a reasonable price, or skip and buy a better built product. This does not stand up to wet weather, or salt, over the long term.

Prior to corrosion, it was just fine and did a swell job for what it is. It does not have the rubber bushing on the cable that the magnetic mount has, you just mash it into your trunk's gasket and hope for the best.
