More Than Expected  Time owned: more than 12 months
I had the desire for a sundial. The box store garden units just did not make the grade. Like many hams clock accuracy was important. The cookie cutter pieces would not do.

In the search I came across units made by Scientific Sundials. They were exactly what I was looking for. Built for a specific latitude and longitude. There were two concerns though, the cost and could one be made for 61 degrees north latitude.

The price is in line with the quality built in. Scientific Sundials provided images of the dial face as we worked through the design.

The displayed time is easily within a couple minutes. It makes for a unique piece in the yard, sparking interest from young and old. My dial has survived several Alaska winters.

Definitely worth investigating
