Best Value for an HF End Fed  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
After looking around the web at all the options for HF end feds, I settled on John's design...AB7LT. It was one of the lower priced models and his workmanship seems very good. Purchasing is on his eBay store. The antenna was promptly shipped and I received it in 3 days via USPS Priority Mail. Shipping costs were very reasonable too.

The antenna is rated at 200 watts...ample for me. Installation was easy...typical end fed with no couterpoise required. I fired up my IC-718 and the LDG IT-100 tuned every band between 80 and 10 with no problems. I compared it with my 4BTV and an inverted V on 40, and it heard better than either.

If I have a complaint, it is that the bolts and wing nuts on the side connections are a bit 'light duty. Granted, the antenna is not QRO rated. It's a small beef, and considering the price, really no beef at all.

AB7LT builds several other antennas as well, but for my needs, this little end fed is about the best deal I found.
