This is NOT IC7300  Time owned: more than 12 months
but you can still listen to 80 and 40m bands, CW SSB and AM. AM is truly fantastic. I would say it is pure audio. The radio is selective and sensitive enough. The battery consumption is really low. It comes with 3 antenna connectors!!! They are all meant for longwires or ladder lines. I assume the antenna input is high impedance although I am not that sure. Anyway, assuming it has a high impedance antenna input, I added a small 9:1 homebrew unun at the antenna connector (I used a small ferrite binocular core) to adapt the impedance of the coax to the allegedly relatively high impedance of the antenna input.
