OK antenna. just ok  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
So going through my fathers collection (silent key) I ran across an antenna. "HIDAKA DENKI WORKS" VS-41 2Kw antenna (not the 350w VS-41W with 3 radials on the bottom) that consisted of 3 traps and 3 sections (Including the base). After doing the research online I found the antenna manufacturers website. after receiving little to no help and a lot of experimentation and adjustment I got the antenna on the air with a SWR of 1.5-1 across all four bands. with 20 20 foot radials underneath it I was able to make contacts from Alabama to Italy and as well to California. however signal reports averaged S44 to S54 (Nothing fantastic) so for the difficulty in finding a manual and the low signal reports is why I say it is just OK... nothing great nothing horrible. a manual would be nice but contacting the manufacturer resulted in nothing. (thanks guys)
