Probably one of the best scanners on the market. MEGA features!

Time owned: more than 12 months

Purchased about a year ago. Full coverage from .5 MHz(?) to 1.3 GHz. Nothing blocked. VFO switch. Back light is bright and lights keypad as well, however there is no "always on" function. Also has a built in voice inversion descrambler, very very nice. Not many depts use it much but some do and you can just tune right into the previously unintelligible conversation. So many features it numbs the mind. Defintely one of the best purchases I have made. The one downfall of the product is: When it's charging and you run hyperscan it can lock up the unit. Pulling the power source frees it up. I guess that shows you how fast this little puppy goes. If you can find this thing in the USA - get it and you'll never look back.

Great full range scanner

Great scanner. Nothing blocked. Fits in your pocket. Great frequency range.
Only complaint is the documentation. So many options with this great scanner, and not all of them mentioned in the manual. Even some basic functionality is lacking in the manual.
Overall, great scanner, highly recommend.

very underated scanner

I like the xlt, it has good selectivity and many functions found only on top of the range scanners.
I find it good right from HF to 1500MHz, not much action higher up so not tested it up any higher.
easy to use, well made, small/compact a good all round radio. the 10db att is very good when radio is attached to outdoor antenna. nice audio, features include bandscope and speech inversion descrambler, if it had ssb it would be ideal.
I wouldn't part with mine.
