A great KISS (Keep it simple stupid) DMR radio.  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I recently purchased the MD-680 as a companion for my TYT MD-390 and MD-380 and so far it works wonderful. The factory software is simple and straight forward, I had it programmed and up and running in no time. I programmed the side button to switch zones (you have 2 zones each with 16 channels equaling the 32 channel that is advertised).

The radio does reach its advertised wattage, the wattage peaks at 400.000MHz at 10W on high and 6W on low.

The radio feels excellent in hand and the build quality is excellent. Iím very impressed with the TYT radio lineup.

Since this radio is over 5W I would personally recommend using a speaker/mic.

A few things to note: The programming cable that is used on the MD-280/MD-380/MD-390 will not work on this radio, it uses the standard cable like the Baofeng/Kenwood radios use. Also the battery, charger, battery eliminator, speaker mic are interchangeable with the TYT MD-390 radios which is great!
