Good low-cost solution for preamp NF measurement  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
Use this with the HP 8970A/B or similar noise figure meter you bought then realized you needed a noise source to make it useful and discovered HP/Noisecom are much more $ than the meter itself. Takes about 3 weeks order-to-delivery (US late 2016 experience). Nicely packaged, labeled with ENR calibration points. Can't attest to closeness of calibration but works fine with my NF meter. I'd rate "5" except that the company never responds to e-mail queries :-(
