Nice, but need improvement with External radio  Time owned: more than 12 months
I keep coming back to SDR Console few times every year. I love the features and resolution. I stop using it every time as it does not work reliable with my setup. I have FT5000MP with IF out connected to SDR-IQ. It starts nicely, but occasionally stop responding to frequency change or band change.
I tried to change cat from 38400 to 19200 and 9600 with same results. I hope one day it can be resolved.

Sweet ! Thanks!  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
Really cool software application that serves as a user interface for many SDR receivers and transceivers. I use it to interface and operate an ELAD FDM-S2 SDR receiver as a panadapter (spectrum scope and waterfall display) for my transcreivers - either on a 9 MHz IF output, or on a shared antennaor input. I can monitor what is happening on the 9 MHz IF transceiver output, or run as a parallel receiver on a shared antenna or on a separate receive-only antenna.

Now in Beta development. 1) It works well with very few bugs, foibles, or issues. 2) It is free, so the price is right. Attractive, easy to use, visually pleasing user interface. Controls are well placed - you can use either or both the drop down MENU options, or the convenient one-level button bar - which give quick access to features, controls, and options - providing great flexibility in display and operation. There are many ways the user can modify, adjust, and tailor the UI to suit his taste and style of operation. For example, one can change colors, layout, re-size windows, and modify many of other settings - it is almost overwhelming - and one can easily revert the whole mess back to factory defaults and start over. Pretty cool.

The best bit is ... it is a clean easy to manage interface for a large number of SDRs. A friendly, helpful user discussion forum provides support - but I bet you won't need it !

Thanks - great stuff ! Of course, this is just MY take. K8JHR
