Reviews Summary for Astatic Model 77 Dynamic Cardioid
Astatic Model 77 Dynamic Cardioid Reviews: 1 Average rating: 5.0/5 MSRP: $72.50
Description: Popular top performer with high fidelity response and high
output level combined with an outstanding uni-directional pattern.
Exclusive Astatic sintered bronze method of acoustic phasing
provides in excess of 18 db front to back pickup differential,
reducing unwanted sounds and feedback to a practical minimum.
Built rugged to resist abusive service and extremes of
temperature and weather. Its DuPont MylarŪ diaphragm is
insensitive to moisture, resistant to solvents, and unaffected by
many acids and alkalies. The dynamic cardridge is suspended in
rubber-like material to minimize extreaneous mechanical
vibrations. Swivel head permits tilting back 90° from vertical. On-
off switch has locking device. Has standard thread for mounting
on any desk or floor stand.
Excellent for rugged public address and industrial sound
installations, and can also be used for broadcasting, recording,
and other general applications. Has satin chrome finish, cast
housing with black grille liner.

An Excellent and Elegant Microphone  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I recently acquired an Astatic Model 77L mic head to go with my T-UP9 D-104SP "Black Special" desk mic, an excellent sounding mic in its own right. After numerous recordings and reports from operators to help get it adjusted just right, along with random reports, so far, the audio quality reports are nothing less than excellent, being neither too loud or too soft. It reproduces my voice accurately and sounds very natural. The elegant look makes it the showpiece of my station.
