Works well  Time owned: months
I have been using several of these bias T's for years with nary a problem. For the money they have served me very well.

let the smoke out  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
It came with my 998rt antenna tuner. I hooked everything up according to the instructions. As soon as I turned on the power switch of the 4117 the positive lead smoked and melted the insulation. I submitted a trouble ticket with MFJ and am awaiting a reply.

Faulty assembly and no quality testing.  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
With only DC power applied and the slide switch set ON, this unit shorted out the power supply. I disassembled the unit and I found the lower clips of the metal frame of the slide switch was resting on a circuit trace. This shorted out the DC circuit. Poor assembly and lack of final testing.
