Deaf Antenna  Time owned: more than 12 months
I bought this as a compact horizontal polarized antenna for 6 meters. All I can say is this antenna is deaf. A 6 foot wire hears more. Although I do not monitor six meters much, I heard nothing in two years. Receiver is not deaf as it is a Kenwood TS-590SG. This must cost MFJ $15-20 in parts, sells for a whopping $139.

Although transmit SWR is good, don't buy this crappy antenna. Use an EAN-R2010802 J pole instead with 6dB gain. The loss going from horizontal to vertical is acceptable with the J pole 6db gain. Plus the J pole costs less.
