Echo Station  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
I have been using the echo station for months now. It works great. I use it as a announcement machine on our local repeater to broadcast severe weather information and hurricane information.

As a ec with the ares here in fayette county this is just what the doctor called for. 2 radios, 2 antennas(twenty feet apart)and a rig blaster nomic and it's on the air. working public service events and emergencies this is great. it will do everything that it says it will, and for the price and ease what more could you ask for. if you have every wanted to see what it is like to have a repeater and never had the money, this is what you want. to kirfd thanks!

I have to say that I have no business relationship with K1RFD but I was involved with the programs development.

I am somewhat of an authority on sound card software as I designed the RIGblaster. I have tested almost every sound card ham radio application while supporting the RIGblaster.

EchoStation is far and away one of the most sophisticated and professionally written ham sound card applications. Technically correct and user friendly with complete well written documentation.

It does nothing less than replace a full blown multi thousand dollar repeater controller for $20.00.

Besides being a full featured duplex repeater controller it will also operate as a simplex repeater, a nice plus.

Another very useful feature is it's "announcement machine". The announcements are done from a remote unattended station with full FCC compliance. The announcements may originate as computer wave recordings, MP3 recordings or even text to speech. Using this powerful announcement feature is a great way to get the attendance up at club events. It has worked wonders for the Norwalk, CT GNARC club that I am VP of.

Try EchoStation for you own repeater or club, it is fully functional for 30 days and it is well worth the money when the evaluation is up.

I have been using echo station for awhile now and am truly amazed how easy it is to setup and use!

It is a wonderful and powerful pc tool, for the average ham to control a simplex or duplex repeater..

I am also happy with k1rfd's support for the product.. Which is very fast.

Echo station is a rising star in every ham radio operators software collection, as well as a repeater owners necessity.

Echo station has allowed me to connect several hams in the outer regions of Des Moines to my simplex 2 meter repeater without tying up the local repeaters, and giving us a great place to hang out.

Best regards

Excellent Easy to use  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
ECHOstation software is the answer for any club to add voice announcements to their repeater site.

The Greater Norwalk Amateur Radio Club has been using ECHOstation since January as a BETA tester for K1RFD. The program has performed flawlessly. Besides the obviouse uses for club announcements, I have incorporated the program into our SKYWARN program by pre-recording announcements for play by remote control.

The simplex repeater functions very well and would be the perfect answer for those needing an emergency repeater.

I cannot comment on the duplex repeater as I have not tried it. The simplex autopatch works well on my GATEWAY desktop (166mhz MMX).

The program is easy to set upand use. The help file puts many higher priced programs to shame.

I would strongly recommend it to any user
