fantastic on ssb open clarifier

To start i purchased this magnum from a dealer, that purchased them directly from sam lewis onwner of rf and the magnum line there are only 4 working magnum ssb-1010 that exist a real rare find. I know that the remaining 2 units are up for auction on that well known site . For a collector the price is ok . I have used it on ssb and the frequency is dead on center . I have not noticed any drifting on tx or rx after more than 1/2 hour of tx . power output is over 12 watts on ssb on a power supply. fm modulation is low but that can be corrected. This radio is a keeper i have already had many hours of fun with it . i have talked many states with it and not one person i talked with would belive it was a handheld on a 6inch antenna or that it was a Magnum ssb-1010 .I have owned most of the other 10 meter ssb hand helds titan , spitfire, dragon, etc and this one beats them all hands down. 73's
