The Best  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
If it hadn't been for an ad in QST concerning the NAVIGATOR interface I would have never tried the MixW software. I am into my first week for the 15 day trial using it with my new Navigator but will soon buy it. I was really getting into Ham Radio Deluxe which is a good program and free but couldn't use certain features on my FT847. MixW is the ultimate software and they keep updates coming. I never dreamed I would be enjoying PSK31, RTTY and SSTV so much.

The Best  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Been using the software for the last several months. Very stable at version 2.17. Excellent service when registering! Packed with features and easy to use, even for someone that may not be a wiz on the computer.

Gave a 4 for only one reason....wish all the logging software could adhere to a standard format for the data. When exporting to my logging software MixW does not transfer all the data since a few fields are not a standard value.

Other than that one minor annoyance, this is a must have.

Nice piece of test gear too!  Time owned: more than 12 months
I have been using MixW for the past few years and can say it performs flawlessly. I like the DX cluster list and the Callbook look-up features. I also use it with DX Atlas and IonoProbe for up-to-date propagation information and for automatically plotting my contacts on a three dimensional globe. One of the best features, however, is the built in spectrum display. I’ve used it for setting the crystal filters on my K2 and aligning some of my radio projects. In my opinion the spectrum display is worth the price of the product all by itself.
There are a lot of things besides digital modes that make this software a must have. I use the DDE interface to control the frequency of my DDS-60 and for third party logging software. I like also the WinKey interface.
My only complaint might be that the documentation could use improvement.

2.18 It's Loaded  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I paid for ver. 2.18 with no prior experience with MixW, only having read the reviews. I am not well versed in computers , but this program has outstanding documentation well worth printing and studying to get the most out of the program. Telephone support is very good. I have the program running with the USA Navigator Interface and am amazed at all the features and capability of this program. The author has done an outstanding job of producing a program that exceeds my expectations. It runs well with Windows XP and makes digital operating even more fun that ever. I still use MMTTY on occasion and other programs like Digipan, but MixW is my hands down favorite and well worth the registration fee.

Best Multi-Digimode Software out there so far  Time owned: more than 12 months
FREE download Help Manual for ver. 2.14 thru 2.18 at this URL: www.usinterface.com then click-on Downloads.
I have used MixW since it's latter 1.xx days and now using 2.18 version.
It's wonderful having all of the popular digital modes available in ONE software while not having to fool around with several separate softwares for each digi mode.
Set-up for me, a computer dummy, "big-rig" dummy was nearly intuitive with NO problems what-so-ever!
My stuff: MFJ-1279 interface, FT-1000MP, Sony Viao 'tiny notebook' with XP Pro, with no serial port - using a USB-Serial converter cable.
Some ops. complain that MixW has receive-only for Amtor and Pactor; Amtor is hardly used these days and Pactor is still strictly proprietary for Transmitting capability.
Besides, Pactor is used only for 'radio' e-mailing; I, as most other Hams, prefer to use direct 'Internet' e-mailing.
If MixW had to pay the Pactor developers for a TRANSMIT license, the $50(US) fee would be significantly greater.
For the Ham el-cheapos amongst us (nothing wrong about that) use Digipan and/or the other free digi-mode softwares. Enjoy
For those who want great on-going software development and support then try MixW, a sophisticated MULTI-mode software. That 50 bucks is worth it.
I have not yet gravitated to the CAT rig frequency control yet. Am having too much digi-mode fun in the meantime.
Rumors out there implying that version 3.0 will also feature AUTOMATIC digi-mode detection and decoding.
WOW!! I can hardly wait! ---John

Works great!!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I installed it on my laptop and set it up to a RigExpert SD USB and everything works as advertised. Macros work and you can program your own buttons. The logging side works with QRZ CDROM and Buskmaster, maybe others. Overall very pleased with the software with all the modes it can read at the click of a button.

Perfect for DIGI!!  Time owned: more than 12 months
Very well works at my home ham station!

All Contests and more... It send your QSO's at eqsl.cc programm.
Very much I recommend to work in pair with device RigExpert2 S/D or Plus. These are the best devices for digital of communication, RTTY and CW (built in the transceiver), is able to use RTTY generator built in the transceiver.

Fantastic Prog  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
Hi, My operation is totally digital now since Jan 2006.
I have found this program to be really excellant both with the ease of use and variety of modes supported. Today I have started to use MFSK (why doesn't every one ). Since January i have contacted over 90 DXCC entities without too much effort. This is down to MixW being so easy to use as other programs I've used certainly require a much steeper learning curve to the extent tht I gave up with them.
For those in the UK buy a software download from the US it's cheaper than buying from the UK dealer :)
You definately won't regret buying this prog anyway very definately worth every penny!

Great Program  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
I am running 2.07B8 with the added modes Olivia, contesta, and rttym. I love it, use it everyday and the MT63 mode is used on MARS everyday under conditions where stations can't hear each other.

Is it all things to all people, Nope! but what program is. It is constantly being updated and is a continuous work in progress.

I notice that all that have negative remarks are noted by their absence from the MIXW Yahoo group.

You can get any answer to a problem from members or the author in the group. The best $50 bucks I ever spent!

Most of the problems stated are of the "a poor carpenter always blames his tools" varity.

If you want a program that incorporates all the new modes, does a decent job in contests etc. I can not say enough about it. As to US support, anyone that has dealt with Glenn will tell you he is fantastic.

MixW Version 2 (Regd)  Time owned: more than 12 months
Brilliant programme, I also use it /Portable from my mobile home at my works qth, mainly PSK31 and RTTY, sometimes monitor SSTV, yep, it is as good as it gets. If "pilot error" creeps in at any time, an email to Nick will give you a fast response which will get you back on track. I run a RIGblaster pro and Nomic at the home station, and a home made box of tricks and laptop in my mobile home. Super programme, keep up the good work Nick,

73's,
