I only recently began exploring some of the RS-232 features, having used Log-EQF for nearly 15 years, beginning with the DOS version. I found some USB-to-RS-232 cables on eBay for under $5.00 (shipped from Taiwan) and hooked up both my rigs, a RTTY box, and (after installing the Idiom Press RS-232 kit in) my Hy-Gain/CDE TailTwister (1975 vintage). Then I added the SAM database callbook to the mix. Everything took a little bit of time to set up, one e-mail to Tom, but now my whole shack is totally automated, and it makes operating and logging much more fun! Operating my antenna rotator is so much easier using Win-EQF. The callbook locates the person when you type in their callsign, and then hitting F12 brings up the rotator menu. Another key and your antenna is accurately aimed right at the person you're talking to! How simple is that??? It makes operating VHF and UHF with narrow beamwidth multiple Yagi arrays a snap!

After many QSOs with no problems, I recently had issues connecting with the local DX Cluster. Emails to both Tom & John gave me many suggestions, and they were more than patient with someone who is computer challenged. The problem turned out to be on my end as I had made somewhere along the line changes to my TNC commands. Once the commands were changed, all is back to normal. Tom & John were a great help, even though the problem was not with the program but with the operator.
WIN-EQF is in my mind the BEST logging program out there, and they do not forget you after you've purchased the program. I've been a WIN-EQF user for a lot of years, and will continue to use it. I've tried others, but for a general logging/award chasing program it can't be beat.
A great program and after sales service and support that takes the next step.

Win-Eqf Fantastic support

Recently I purchased a Lap-Top with Windows VHP.
Tried numerous times to load an old Cd with no
results. Sent Tom (N3EQF) a ziffer explaining
my problem. Within two hours my problem was
resolved. Tom and John (K1XN) zipped me a down-load. Problem resolved. Not often one can get
this kind of support. Been a member of EQF
since 94 and each time a problem arose, within
hours it was resolved. Can't begin to express
my thanks. It's a fantastic progrm. Would
reccomend it to all hams looking for a
great logging program. Doubt if you can find
a better program or support for it.

I've been a log-eqf user for well over ten years now. Finally it was time to upgrade to win-eqf when a more modern computer (Win XP) was installed in the shack. The installation went easy as did transferring something like 16,000 QSOs from the log-eqf machine to the XP machine. Initial impression is that it's a great upgrade and will be even easier to use than log-eqf. Support as and when needed over the years from N3EQF has been superb.

This program is fantastic and the customer support is unmatched anywhere. Had the software up and running within an hour of sending payment. If you are in need of a logging program that is user friendly with awesome support, Win-EQF is the one you need. Great work guys!

Have used for a number of years and have had computer crashes and the customer service is fast and the best I have come across. Simple to use and a log you can move around in quickly. The best.

I have used Log-EQF for several years and recently upgraded to Win-EQF. I had it downloaded, installed and running within an hour of submitting payment. Outstanding customer support. I am an infrequent operator,and am still discovering features of Win-EQF. For my money, it can't be beat!

I am also a long time user of the Log-Eqf and Win-Eqf family of products. Recently My computer crashed. Luckily I had regularly backed up my log files. When I had the new computer I contacted John K1XN and explained my predicament to him. Within the hour he set up the downloads so I was up and running with the latest version of Win-eqf and GOLIST. The company knows how to support their registered users.

Still a Happy Camper

I'm a 10+ year user of Log/Win-EQF. It is an effective, easy-to-use logging system, and the customer service simply has no equal. I don't call for assistance very often, but it is wonderful to know that when I do, capable and friendly help is there, almost instantly! An experience yesterday, involving several email exchanges, completely resolved my "damaged CD" problem and inspired me to praise Win-EQF and the customer service that comes with it.
