Still a Happy Camper

I'm a 10+ year user of Log/Win-EQF. It is an effective, easy-to-use logging system, and the customer service simply has no equal. I don't call for assistance very often, but it is wonderful to know that when I do, capable and friendly help is there, almost instantly! An experience yesterday, involving several email exchanges, completely resolved my "damaged CD" problem and inspired me to praise Win-EQF and the customer service that comes with it.

I started out using the DOS version about 10 years ago. I upgraded to WinEQF immediately upon it's release.
Like LU1AS, it does everything I need, and does it very well.
Very user friendly and affordable.
I would recommend it to anyone.

Great Software

I am have requested a previous review be deleted because it was a review rating I don't want to hold against Win-EQF software. I have obtained a new copy of Win-EQF and happily using it again. The Win-EQF service works - and if your HDD crashes or the CD dies these guys will have you back up and running.
This is really great software. I have tried other logbooks for windows but this is the one I keep coming back to.

Outstanding!!!

I have used this logger for many years. Originally, I used a shareware version of Log-EQF back in the DOS days. I grew so attached to it that I bought the Windows version, and it continues to do everything I need. I use it to print labels. I use it to log contests. I use it to track WAS & DXCC.
I just got a new computer running Vista. I put it off as long as possible, because I hate to change. When I went to install WinEQF, my CD was garbaged. No problem!!! I emailed Tom, N3EQF, who put me in touch with someone on his staff who enabled me to download a new registered copy that I burned to a CD.
But still more computer problems... The new PC has no RS-232 port for my interface. Tom and I emailed back and forth for more than a week. He tried suggestion after suggestion, and never tired of looking through my configuration info. He never gave up! Even though it soon became apparent that the problem was not software related, he continued to stick with me, offering support and suggestions. Finally, I did arrive at a workable hardware arrangement and I am up and running again.
Tom certainly receives my greatest thanks and praise. Not only is this a great logging program, but the support is OUTSTANDING!

user FRIENDLY !!!

I really like the program. The more I use it, the more I like it.
I like its user friendliness and the options of using the keyboard to move around the program. I especially like the F2 start QSO option and the F4 clear the screen option.
When you are listening to a station that you may want to start a QSO with, just type in his callsign and hit F2 and it displays his name, QTH, bearing and distance, and other info without actually saving it yet. If you begin an actual QSO a couple of minutes later, just hit F2 and it updates the time to the new start time of the QSO. To save the QSO info just hit F1. If you have typed in a callsign and then decide not work that station, just hit F4 and it clears the screen ready for the next station. You can use your mouse to perform those same functions, but I prefer the keyboard.
It also has a link for each QSO with notepad that allows you to save other comments about the QSO. I like to save info on pwr and antennas, rigs, age and other interesting personal info exchanged during the QSO.
I had been using another program for the past 5 years and although it did many things, there were things about it that I did not like. Previously, I had also downloaded and installed the trial versions of several different logging programs. Some of them tried to do too much, and made you jump to too many hoops to get where you wanted to be.
Win-EQF is the easiest to use and does the things you need most in a logging program. Thanks to TOM (N3EQF) and all the people responsible for offering this great product.
You can download a free shareware version to give it a try. I did, and after running it thru the wringer for a couple of days, I bought the registered version.

Very good and easy to use

Very good programme.
I use ut since 2004 (Feruary). The evaluation I would divide into following categories:
Interface:
Good, friendly and simply to use.
Features:
Wide with some individual possibilities: QSL label size and format, export-import of the data, off-line and on-line work, possibilities to create different logs (special calls, diffreent cals, different time of logging, etc.)
Support:
Excelent. I never waited for response from EQF Team more than 12 hours.
In comparison to ther logging program, mes I tried during lat three years WIN EQF seems to me is the best and most easy to use.

FANTASTIC SERVICE.

Time owned: more than 12 months

I had some computer problems, and when I tried to reinstall WIN EQF from my registered CD, the program would not reload. An email to the good folks at WIN EQF did not solve the problem. However, they did give me a password, and site to go to so I could download the entire program and burn it to CD.
The program is great and the after sales service is FANTASTIC. Thank you WIN EQF.
Now, if you could just get the CONTEST program kinks worked out.
Many thanks WIN EQF

A Great Logger!

I have tried most of them and the more I try, the more I like Win-EQF. It doesn't have the flashiest "face", but when it comes to flexibility and overall ease of use, Win-EQF is really hard to beat. It does everything that I want and I don't have to spend lots of time figuring out how to use all the features that it contains. Labels are easy(both QSL and Address), award tracking is fantastic, reports are easy and complete, TelNet (with or without DXTelnet) is a breeze, etc, etc. I could go on, but let me just say, "try it, you'll love it!". Oh and if you have multiple rigs to interface with....Tom covers them all and let's you easily switch between any 2. I used VQLog for awhile, but it has limited Rig interface capabilities and the writer doesn't seem too interested in expanding the list, especially to TenTec....a big problem(for me).
Give Win-EQF a try...Tom is a great guy and this software just keeps getting better, even though it is great already!
