Praise, No Complaints  Time owned: more than 12 months
I have two 1000's and love them both. But something happened to one of them and for some reason I couldn't get any output on 6M. It worked fine on all the other bands. I sent an e-mail to Acom, they replied that with such an unusual problem I should have it serviced. So I drove it to their facility, and got immediate attention. Their service tech tested it right in front of me using the same transceiver and it worked flawlessly. I was flummoxed (old-fashioned word meaning "stupefied")! So I took it home and very carefully went through my exciter's 6M settings and replaced the coax connecting them both. The 1000 worked fine for me, too!
From that, I learned that if I have a problem, Acom won't brush me off, they'll be sensitive to me, their customer, and I'll get satisfaction. I also learned not to panic when something unexpected happens!

Excellent amp  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I had recent experience using ACOM 1000s on the DXpedition at VK9LA. They were very reliable. This amp is very quick and easy to tune with no problem matching to the temporary antennas we used. They run very quietly, a big plus in a room with more than one operating station.

I would recommend this amp to anyone.

terrible  Time owned: more than 12 months
I very disappointed in my Acom 1000.
I bought an Acom 1000 about 2 years ago as a back - up amplifier because I als have a superb Alpha 99 ( THIS IS THE BEST AMP EVER !!!!).
ANyway , the Acom 1000 was eldom used here. Recently I connected it to my old FT101 ZD Yaesu , it it worked quite ok. But after some time now , switching on the amp gave the following result: it didn't fire up again and always switched to protectionmode and gave following indications BNFO2 en PN07 ..... I don't realy know what that means....
Sending an email to Acom they didn't tell me much ...... this service is very poor .
Never an Acom again , that's for sure !
I will have a friend going to fix it in a few days.
I ordered a new 3CX800A tube to replace the probably broken in this lousy Acom 1000.
When it is fixed I'm thinking about selling it for a low price ..... I don't want to sell something that is broken , but I don't feel like keeping it anyway.

Amp for life  Time owned: more than 12 months
I just received my second Acom 1000 this week. I had a few of these over the years and operated from some remote and harsh environments with an Acom.
These amps are tough and foolproof.
Will at Acom takes great care of his customers, and always walks the extra mile.
Buy an Acom. You will NOT be disappointed.

Stress free QRO  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
100+ reviews, all 5/5, not even the usual personal gripe type of review to knock the rating that you see elsewhere, amazing!!...and I'm afraid this review doesn't buck the trend either.

I can drive with 20w or so for full U.K. limit, so along with myself, the radio, the amp and my neighbours all have a stress free life. The only thing under pressure is my desk!!

Absolutely bombproof, you can't really damage it even if you try. Runs so quiet you won't know it's on, no thumps or any other scary noises as you tx, fan is genuinely quiet not just advertising blurb quiet.

Improvements? Be nice to have positive/firm operating buttons, they don't cry out 'quality' compared to the rest of the amp. Audible beep when a fault is triggered?

Great service from Ron at vine antennas, his reputation is as well founded as this amp.

Greats and best amp ever!!  Time owned: more than 12 months
Look at the postings and the rating. Speaks for itself.

I have had mine for a while now.

Works flawlessly and near idiot proof. Heavy foot print, solid and easy, easy to use! Worth ever penny.

Tunes easily, tells you if you are running too much input power, etc. all kinds of idiot warnings.

Read the more detailed reviews. A very clean and functional amplifier!!!

Profesional clean power  Time owned: more than 12 months
Very professional build stable, quiet and easy to tune. I have no interference when running full power. That was not the case with my home build AMP's in the past. It gives a clean signal!
Though i had my problem with PMR meter a cracked SMD C more an EEC related problem with the idiot lead less solder rules. And antenna relay TR2B error. Have seen the internal it is a fine piece of equipment. Acom service is very good. It is a pleasure to deal with Stanimir and Vine.

Brilliant workmanship  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
Having now owned one for the last 8 months I have had time to really spend some time double checking the ways this amp has been built..... impressive to say the least......... so much so I purchased a second one and we will use them both on the upcoming dxpedition to VK9LA.
Perhaps I will give a short review on how they perform after I return.
