Description: The Hi-Q-Antennas Giant QD is for mounting/removing any large HF mobile antennas that is interfacing with a 3/8-24 threaded stud.
The unit is appx. 5" tall, 2" diameter and has a VERY strong spring for maintaining a constant force on the two parts.
It is designed to hold antennas weighting over 50 lbs.
By turning 1/8 of a turn, while pushing down it allows you to dismount the antenna in less than 5 seconds.
A 1/4 nut and bolt will secure it if not intended to be removed at every stop of you travel
Material: 6061 T6 aircraft aluminium, nickel plated. 3/8-24 threaded hole for mounting and a 3/8-24 stainless steel stud for the antenna (like the Stealth II. series).Don't let kids of thieves walk away with your investment.

Great time saver

I've been using the QD with my Stealth II for seveal months and it works super. I can take the antenna off in just seconds and place it inside the vehicle. Now I can store things in the back of my Durango and easily get to them. The QD is very heavy duty and firmly holds the antenna in place. Another great product from Charlie.
