Reviews Summary for WHIP QD ( quick disconnect)
WHIP QD ( quick disconnect) Reviews: 1 Average rating: 4.0/5 MSRP: $(missing—add MSRP)
Description: Since we need to drive into our garage or drive into a parking lot with low cieling a QD is a must. However the QD's on the market sofar has all left something to be disired.
Hi-Q-Antennas has done something abouth that: An all BRASS Silver plated THREADED interconnect that has ZERO tolerance, no looseness, no slack, large knurled twist off female part.
This is to be used when you are obsolutelly positively must have a good connection with your antenna.
Material: Navy Brass, silver plated
9 TPI twist off, 3/8-24 threaded hole for the whip and 3/8-24 Stainless Steel stud to fit in the antenna like the Stealth II. series HF mobile antennas.
It will safely support STICK type of antennas up to 10 lbs, including the Outbacker types.
Product is in production.

Spring falls out  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
I have the Pro Am quick disconnect mounting kit and it works ok, but you have to watch out that the spring doesn't fall out. It has one 3/8" X 24 base and five twist-lock connectors which is handy. For the price of only $24.95 I give it a rating of 4, but don't forget to keep an eye on the springs inside as they sometimes fall out. Bill
