A perfect product

I'm not sure what could be improved on this product. It came in the mail, I installed it in 5 minutes, aligned it in less than 5 minutes, told my rotor program about it and was on the air. Total elepsed time 15 minutes including unpacking.
The RotorCard works perfectly with my G-1000SDX. I previously had a SarTek 1B interface but it didn't know about the Yaesu overlap capability. RotorCard does and uses it. It's weird after watching the rotor take the long way around with the SarTek, to see it take the short path using the overlap with the RotorCard.
Thank you to Idiom Press for an excellent product.

Don't tell Yaesu!

Okay, so my fault for ordering multiple items the week before or the Monday after Dayton. LOL! Things didn't arrive real quick. Oops!
When I received it, which was just two business days after it was supposed to be shipped, I just had to install it right away.
I was not disappointed one bit!
It is so EASY to install! Just follow the directions and calibrate your rotor *before* you install the card, then follow the instructions to install and calibrate the card. It's so simple, an Extra Class can do it! [grin]
Just nobody tell Yaesu about this little beauty. 'Cause if they find out, they'll probably drop the price on theirs and that would hurt the folks at Idiom Press, which I *don't* want to happen.
I put it online with Ham Radio Deluxe and it's working like a champ. Thanks, Idiom, for a great accessory!

I can be lazy. Even the simple task of pressing CCW or CW was too much :P
I was not willing to pay the extortionate price of the Yaesu rotator interface, so after a having this unit recommended to me, I ordered one, and waited the 2 weeks for the delivery from the USA.
What arrived was a small PEC with a RS232C lead coming from it.
Installation was a breeze, except for the fact that ive blown the light on the controller again :(
I did have some head scratching though when I was unable to telnet into the unit. What the manual (2 sheets of A4) doesnt tell you, is that you need to disable any flow control in the port settings. There was also the slight problem of my rotator and the antenna not been aligned. but once all this was rectified, I was cooking on gas.
I am using Ham Radio Deluxe for my computer application. Once I had told the application what interface was connected, and my locator square, I am now spinning the beam around as if it was on a dance floor.
Many thanks for such a wonderful addition to my shack.

Outstanding piece of accessory.

I should have written this review a year ago. I had ordered the SDX card because I just do not like to keep pressing the CW/CCW buttons of the rotator to turn the beam and I wanted my computer to do that for me. The installation was breeze, the calibration took little more time than I expected because of the calibration error of my rotator. It quickly integrated with my HRD software to fully automate the job. I simply liked the idea and it works very well.
Well done Idiompress!

After reading previous great reviews of this product, I decided to get one. What a great product. It works with most rotor control software and does an outstanding job with my Yaesu G-800SDX. If you have a G-800SDX, you gotta get one of these.

Bought 2 of these a couple of weeks ago. Easy to install and calibrate. Work great with Logic 6 and TRX-Manager software. I am turning both rotors from my remote location using TRX-Manager over the internet and they haven't skipped a beat. Less than 1/4 the cost of the Yaesu boards. Also work great through a USB to 8 port serial adapter.

Excellent & cost effective

I use the RotorCard in my Yaesu G-2800SDX. It was easy to install and calibrate and has been trouble free. It is incredibly convenient with DXbase, my logging program. DXbase calculates the beam heading of every station spotted on the DX Cluster, so all I have to do is mouse click on the bearing to turn the antenna. It works fine with Writelog, my contesting program, too. I rarely touch the rotor now. It's one of my favorite accessories.

Nice addition to the shack!

I never wrote a "review" before but here goes...
Bought the unit quite some time ago, used it
with Log-EQF and when I was just too lazy to
reach for the control, used HyperAccess with
a short script. Very easy to install as stated
by others here. The reason for the review is that
I had lost the instructions for the unit and was
not sure of the port settings, so I sent an email
(on a Saturday)asking for a replacement paper.
Within an hour Bob returned an email with the
information I needed... That to me says
GREAT service!!!

Just got this card and installed it in less than an hour! I have always want computer control for my rotor, but the Manufactuer's price as "RATHER" high.
It interfaces perfectly with Win-EQF and makes the pileups so much easier, to not have to worry where the beam is pointed!
Great work guys and great price!

I wish I had discovered this product a long time ago. It interfaces without a problem with my logging program (LogWindows). If I ever buy another rotor, I will make sure it is one supported by idiom press's cards.
