It works. No RFI.  Time owned: unknown months
The "chiclet" activation keys are no fun in a contest, so drill a hole on the back panel and solder in a cable in parallel to chiclet keys. Now you can drive the DVK from CT (keys F1-F4), which is neat. Lance Johnson Engineering also sells nice pushbuttons (four of them), mounted in a row and pre-drilled to be mountable to your Bencher paddle. That's another way of keying the DVK. It is true that the unit is no longer produced (since about 1996, I'd guess). Volatile memories require reprogramming if you lose power. The printed circuit board was designed with great attention to grounding, ground loops, etc., to avoid hum and RFI (getting into the DVK). Uses DIN plugs on the back for mike in and out to transceiver, so you'll have to make up your own cables. Best use: If you don't feel like turning on your computer to enter a pileup.

Simple to use. Bulletproof.  Time owned: unknown months
Have never had any trouble with this unit. No RFI problems. Unit has four memories: one 16 seconds, one 8 sec, two 4 sec. Can control playback remotely so you can tuck unit out of the way once it's programmed. Drawbacks: memory is volatile; not sure if it's available any more or supported.
