Great Professional Service

My 17-yr old Alinco DX-70TH had its first problem and would not transmit. I reviewed their work on eHam and got instructions from their web site to send my radio. I got a call from Kuni the same day it was received telling my the problem and proce, as well as the multi-function knob problem which all DX-70's get---he'd throw that in for free. Ohio to Washington in less thatn 2 weeks UPS (could have been faster if I'd wanted express), works gret back in the car. Very professional and immediate. If yo need Alinco work I highly sugget Kuni and COMTEK.

I can’t recommend COMTEK enough. I had my IC-765 in storage for several years. Kuni took good care of my transceiver and did a very quick job of it. I’m very happy with his work and the price that I was charged. If I ever need work on any of my radios, he will get it.

This is my first experience with this repair center. After reading down the reviews I can see why there's a lot of trust here. Some say if it says ICOM it's the place to be. Let me add Alinco to the list. The problem was a strange one on my DR-605TQ. Didn't see it on any forums. No problem-had it back with a description of the issue in about 1-1/2 weeks. Very fair pricing and stays in touch. I'm about to send in a Yaesu FT-5100. I know the rig is in good hands.

Sent my ic-718 up to Kuni for repairs, had it back in a bit over a week, for a very reasonable price. I am very happy with his service, and quick work. Highly recommended!

I bought my old ICOM R-7100 receiver back and it was not up to snuff as it had been before. Sent Kuni an email and he said no problem. Received it back within a week and a half.The radio is better now than new. My hat is off to Kuni for his expertise and VERY reasonable rates. If I ever need a repair again-no second guessing here-off to COMTEK!!!!Tnx--Terry N4SuB

IC-765 repair. The best!

My venerable IC-765 had been getting sicker and sicker. It was like the tale of the frog put in a pan of cold water, then turning the heat on. I didn't realize how sick it was actually getting. I sent my 765 to Kuni on December 28th and received it back on January 7th. Very quick turn around. Turns out, the major problem was a defective FL-30 filter. Kuni replaced the filter and re-aligned the radio. The radio now plays again like it was new. Kuni maintained excellent communications with me. By the way, his bill for the repair was what I felt was very reasonable. Do I recommend Kuni at Comteck, you betcha I do.

I just received back a repaired IC-746PRO which had some bad solder joints. Radio was new in 2002.
Kuni did his usual. A good repair and a happy ham.

The Best!

My beloved IC-735 had a smoke inducing experience tuning up into a bad 4:1 balun. Based on these reviews, I sent it to Kuni. My radio arrived at his shop Monday, Tuesday morning he called to tell me it was repaired (band pass coil & final), Wednesday he shipped it, and today (Thursday) it arrived home. Back on the shelf and working perfectly. The cost was very reasonable. Do I recommend Kuni? Absolutely.

IC-4KL REPAIR

My review is identical to K6GKB. Kuni was very good in communications and too he repaired my 4KL Power Supply. After reading the K6GKB comment below, I guess Kuni might have thought this was 4KL week or at least 4KL power supply week? If you have a radio or amp and want it repaired quickly at a very fair dollar? Kuni is the MAN !!!

Repairs Yaesu FT-736r also

Kuni not only works on Icom, (he did a excellent job on a Icom 551-D), but repaired two different Yaesu FT-736R tranceivers. Excellent work, fast turn around and very reasonable price. Highly recommend.
