FANTASTIC!!

Kuni did a great job for me. I read a number of reviews, and then called Comtek, scheduling a time to ship my ICOM 751. We discussed repairs, cleaning, upgrades, etc, then he called again to confirm these things once he had the radio in hand. He also quoted an approximate cost for these services. A few short days later, he was on the phone again, letting me know that repairs were completed and what the cost would be, including shipping and insurance. It was HALF of what I was expecting. That pleased me greatly and made my wife very happy! My radio wasn't gone for months, either. The whole transaction took less than 2 weeks, and I have now had my radio for about 3 weeks, and it is working like a champ, better than new. I highly recommend Kuni's work, especially with ICOMs. I am extremely pleased with his work. That makes me one happy HAM!!

Icom IC-718
|

I had too many radios going at once one day and key down and heard a hissing sound. All radios worked except Icom IC-718 front end over load.
Called Comtek and E-mailed him and he got right back with me. Told me the parts that was bad. I shipped it to him five days out and two days repair and five days back.
Two parts and one hour labor and it was repaired. He did do some other checking of the radio for me.
I rate Comtek a FIVE because of phone and E-mail responce and top knot service

Sent Kuni my DX-70 to fix after talking to him on the phone. He recieved the radio one day and it was fixed and on the way back the next. Very reasonable price, fast service and it works great. Highly recommend to anybody.

Fine Business Here

I know this can't always happen but he was able over the phone, with a brief description of the symptoms from me, tell me what was wrong and give me the best quote I'd heard. It ended up being a few dollars less than that. Communication was great and turn around time was better than expected. Doesn't get better than that.
This was over a year ago on an abused 605TQ I got in a trade and it's still going strong.

Kuni did some work on my IC-751A a couple of years ago for some general check-up, alignment and trimmer cap replacements of a new-to-me radio.
His communications with me, price, workmanship, schedule and packaging for shipping were all superb.

Kuni ROCKS!

I needed an IC-765, purchased on Ebay, checked out and receiver tweaked. Kuni has that baby sounding like the day it came out of the box. He also did a complete check out on an IC-4KL. His work is second to none and his rates are VERY reasonable. If you need any ICOM work send it to this very talented and honest man. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent Experience

When my IC-735 developed problems, I e-mailed Kuni who immediately replied with the probable cause and with a quote for repair. I sent it off, and he repaired it very quickly. He then called me, described the repairs, and returned it the next day. I was very pleased with the repair, the cost, and the excellent communication.

After e-mailing 2 other repair facilities closer to my home, and recieving no reply, I called Kuni, the gentleman even answers his own phone, we discussed the problem of my IC-765. I was impressed with his courteousness and his expertise. I just recieved it back, it works like it should. If I ever need repair work done, no hesitation, the rig will be on the way to Comtech
