Reviews Summary for 59+ Log, Analyzer, Converter
59+ Log, Analyzer, Converter Reviews: 4 Average rating: 4.3/5 MSRP: $25
Description: 59+ Log
59+ Log was created by HAMs and professional programmers for 32-bit Windows (Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows 98 and Windows 2000). A set of unique graphic user interface controls was developed especially for 59+ Log.

The choice of the programming language (Microsoft Visual C++), technology (COM), libraries (MFC, ATL, STL), database structure (compound documents) makes 59+ Log extremely fast and flexible. COM technology used throughout the application makes it possible to extend functionality of the log using all programming languages that support COM including Microsoft Visual Basic, Borland Delphi and various scripts.

Powerful tools such as search engine, award manager and live lookup tables make it easy to keep track of new awards. In most cases all you need is a call sign of a station - 59+ Log will calculate automatically most award values by using efficient parser and dictionary databases specially designed for this application.

When using 59+ Log you can define as many log files as you want, split and merge them. Every log file is a compound document. It contains several file streams while to the user it will always look like a single file.

Powerful report engine will let you know if you have enough points to apply for an award. It will make an application and print it out on you printer in graphics.

59+ Analyzer (add-on)
59+ Analyzer is an add-on module which can retrieve records from 59+ Databases and represent data in graphics. Each database field can be viewed in a chart. Using this tool you can obtain all kinds of information about your past QSOs. 59+ Analyzer can communicate with external applications by sending data via the clipboard so that images created in the analyzer can be processed in most graphical editors.

59+ Converter (add-on)
Export and import utility that makes it very easy to modify existing databases, import and export any set of QSOs to another format. Just define a set of records using the search engine or by manually adding QSOs to a data source and launch the 59+ Converter. In the application you would be able to set additional date filters. With the Converter you can browse document contents and modify streams in 59+ Databases.
Product is in production.

Very good - unfortunately their not around.  Time owned: more than 12 months
I bought into this system almost two years ago and really liked its scalability with regard to log size and data porting. The 59+Log product is easy to set up and configure. Logging dialogue boxes can be customized and added for a variety of activity (i.e. Contesting, General Logging, etc.). I kept up with the minor upgrades to the product until version 1.4. That was over a year ago and they advertised version 2.0 (major release) was coming out anytime. That never happened. I checked their website over the past couple of weeks. They appear to be "out of business." Their site is no longer active.

Despite my logging migration to N3FJP ACLog (reviewed elsewhere on eHam.net), I'll continue to use this product because of its integration with the more sophisticated elements of the Microsoft development environment and its Analyzer and Converter products.

It's unfortunate these folks are no longer around. I was really looking forward to the 2.0 release.

OK but reports need formatting  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I downloaded program to try. Manual inputting was ok, but a little slow, especially time. Reporting is ok but formatting is poor. Need to allow changes in font, delete unwanted fields, etc.

Excellent product  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I purchased this product a couple of days ago and have to say it is excellent. Very easy to use, fast, excellent help and above all logical!

I am looking forward to getting a good cross section of contacts logged so that I can start to use the analysis package and its graphical representation of my activity.

Lightweight and flexible  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I just downloaded the program and tried it out over the weekend. It is excellent - small, flexible and fast with clever design. Just brilliant! And the price is right too.

Sure I can get a bigger logger for more cash with heavier interface and huge database. I dont think I will get something as lite, fast and reliable as 59+ Log. Undo feature is very useful, automatic recalculation of fields work without any problems, I can add new bands, modes and configure everything without restarting the logger. It sure is the best software in it's class.
