A nice amp that does it's job well

I have the LS version which puts out 100W from 3w or 1w input. I use it with my FT-290 and the amp really does seem to do it's job well. Haven't had any problems with overheating, but do find its worth connecting the ptt direct (jack on the back of the amp) as on ssb the rf switching clips a bit. The switches are a little flimsy but seem to work OK. The preamp does seem to help in marginal conditions.
A good buy and nice to have a bit more power over the 25W boys!

With 10 watts input it should give 100Watts output, I bought it second hand and it gives about 90 watts output.
The preamp does 20db gain but with 18db noise so +2db actual gain (not bad at all concidering I use a TS790).
The outputt power goes down to about 80Watt when it gets warm (so I use a small 12v fan on top to keep te 90watt).
No VSWR protection or input protection.
