This is my fourth interface from Donners. Arrived in 5 business days. Opened the box, plugged it in and I was up and running in 5 minutes. Thanks for a terrific product at a very fair price! The best part is that they spend the extra $$ to completely isolate the interface from the rig. No possibility of ground loops or shorts. The interfaces costing 3 or 4 times as much cut corners by only isolating the input OR the output. Donner isolates the whole package!

Outstanding P-n-P

Just received my 3rd or possibly my 4th Donner interface. Outstanding and truly Plug-n-Play. Hooked it up to the computer, pluged it into the radio(FT-847), and I was back on the air for the digital modes. Fast and easy ordering online, and great service.

Love this interface

Plug and Play at its best. Make a few connections, tuck it away behind the rig (no need to take up precious operating desk or shelf space), and off you go with consistent, solid operation. Compact, simple, needs no external power. Great for portable work! Any mode, RTTY, Olivia, MFSK, SSTV, CW, DV, WSJT, whatever you want to throw at it.
If you received one of these and couldn't get it to work, chances are good it was operator error (especially if Donner wasn't contacted for assistance; very friendly, helpful folks)
Each interface is custom made for your model of radio (although they may also work for other similar models i.e. mine works for any Kenwood with an ACC2 jack).
I've tried a few other interfaces and although they all had their positive features, I settled on Donner and never regret my decision. I now own several and for $40, they are a hard deal to beat.

I am well pleased with the Donner Interface. Works very well with RTTy, PSK 31, and SSTV. I opened it up and ajusted the pot as suggested by the instructions in case the sound card was "tight" in the slider range. An earlier reviewer maked it as a zero, but if he would like to dispose of his interface, he is free to contact me via QRZ. I've found that most who slam a product are the ones that don't have a clue as to what they are doing. Would I buy another Donner....you bet! In fact I'm ordering one for a Kenwood TS 440.

Didn't work at all!

Followed the instructions to the letter and still no joy. I even traced all the wires and can see the audio coming out of the radio, but not out of the interface. I even plugged the output of the interface into a set of amplified speakers and heard nothing. Workmanship inside is mediocre at best. If it actually worked, $20-25 is more like it for all you get.
Probably will end up tossing it in the trash and buying the Rigblaster like I should have to start with.

Simple and Correct

I got this piece of gear to use specifically with an IC-746 via its ACC1 plug on the back, in concert with a fairly recent laptop, one that still has a conventional serial interface. The Donner Interface does exactly what I wanted, for a fair price, and after quick delivery.
The reason it's 4 and not 5 is pretty minor, really. There are no feelgood LEDs on the small main box to help you figure out where, if there is a problem, there might be a problem.
Go for it. It's simple and trouble-free.

I've had mine two week.
Has performed flawlessly.
Interfacing my new toy FT-2000D to my Windows XP/PRO.
I use DigiPan for PSK mostly the N1MM for Ctest (work also voice keyer)
Cable came from PC to Interfaces + to FT2k so it was just plug and play (RS-232 - Box - 5 pin DIN)
Most of the time when I am QRV in the C'TEST running full legal power 1.5 kW the interface doesn't give me any problem at all!!
Is nice and simple made - I recommended!!
73's CU in Digi-mode's S58F ERIC
PS.
For my old FT-1000MP I still use the S56A homebruw interface.

Great Item,service and price!

I recently started out using PSK31 and had considered several units with my Yaesu FT 900C/AT. And after seeing the reviews here,a fellow ham friend of mine's success with his,and VERY fast responses to my questions I went with the Donner and have no regrets. They are truly a great value for what you get and very rig specific. It came with good documentation and well constructed. They Gurantee these interfaces to work! It does the job and I recommend anyone starting out with PSK31 you can't go wrong for $40!!!
