great antenna!

I own two of them. No corrosion after more than two years outside. Tx performance on 140-160MHz and 435-465MHz can be verified.

GREAT
|
Time owned: 3 to 6 months

I had two of these antennas and truly loved them. The first antenna, someone loved better than me and borrowed it, but forgot to return it. The second just couldn't withstand the force of the wreck I was involved in. I had it mounted on the left mirror of a 98 freightliner. The recieve was great. I never had a problem hitting distant repeaters on either band. Tree limbs didn't seem to bother it either. Was well worth the money both times.

Great multi purpose ant.

Dito.
1.8 vswr max on the highest GMRS repeater inputs
Flat on 462. this is with a kenwood tk880 txcver.
also did a tests on the vhf DOT freqs. never had and ant this flat before.
2m/440 ham great as well.
the preceived Gain on UHF is excellent and on 2m i could tell a difference. what do you expect for 3db. I have it on a HONDA CRV on the right rear door. A rather neat installation Although it took a long time to figure how i was going to mount it. the Radio was another bear.
I am new to this ant so time will tell for the durability aspect. the construction quality is not quite what my diamond sg7500 is/was. I had it installed for 6yrs mobile on two cars.
this is truley the SUV of mobile antennas.

Great Performence
|
Time owned: more than 12 months
|
This antenna is marketed as a 146/446 antenna, but it performs remarkably well on 222 mhz. I had put this antenna on a swr
analyzer and found it to be very resonant on 222 mhz., also if you happen to have a GMRS license the antenna works great
there too as I found it to be very broad banded on UHF. This antenna works perfect for my Kenwood TM-742a with the 220
module. I use this antenna on my Honda Civic, Hole mounted on the trunk. I have been told not to use this on a magnet type
mount, as the antenna needs a sufficient ground. The antenna is very rugged, I have owned this for at least six years and has held
up very well. If you want a high performance antenna for a duel band radio this is the ticket.
