Excellent Application  Time owned: more than 12 months
Pathfinder is yet another portion of AA6YQ's DXLab Suite. Its function is to automatically retrieve callsign information from web pages on the internet.

As a stand alone application, one can enter a callsign and query any of a number of websites for that callsign, retrieving name, address, qsl routes, etc. As with the other portions of DXLab, it's most powerful when it integrates with all of the other applications in the suite. When a user logs a callsign, Pathfinder will connect to your configured web page, retrieve the callsign's information and fill in all information in the log for that callsign.

Although it does require a constant connection to the internet, its best feature is it's free. Since it queries the webpage itself, it also does NOT require the "premium service" from such callsign websites as QRZ.com. Its speed on my DSL connection is comparable to querying the QRZ.com cd, which from the time of its release, is invariably outdated.

This is probably one of the best kept secrets in Ham Radio logging around.
