EXCELLENT!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Before you can use this software, you need to have a copy of Microsoft Access. I suppose most people have a copy anyway, so that's no big deal.

Once the database is loaded, you are presented with a clear menu system which allows you to choose to use the Expert System or the Simple System. Each one is easy to use, so it's advisable to go for the Expert mode, since it provides the user with far more options in terms of what can be recorded.

Talking of recording, the database has a really neat feature allowing you to place a one-click link to any voice-recordings which are associated with the individual logs. Very useful!!

The user-interface is pretty unbeatable and knocks spots off many of the commercial products out there. Many of the often repeated inputs are included in drop-down menus which saves a lot of time. Other fields have "input-masks" which prevent you from inputting data in the wrong format. That too is handy!

One of the best features of McQ_Log is its ability to provide endless reports on your logging activities. There's a host of wonderful built-in reports and then whatever else you wish to add yourself. It's so flexible.

Finally, the thing that I liked the best was the Station Locator. This part of the system is soooo cooool. It allows you to search or scan through a *massive* list of known radio stations and provides oodles of data on each one. Needless to say, you can also add to the list!

Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about this database, but I suppose some people will miss out because they need to have a copy of Microsoft Access to use it. Great program - nothing to touch it unless you pay for high-end software.
