EXCELLENT COMPLEMENT TO MY STATION!!!  Time owned: more than 12 months
Excellent customer relations / support...
Cosmetically appealing for base station operations..
Built in watt, swr, and volt meter very accurate..
Outstanding rx amp performance...
This amp used on regular basis during vhf fm simplex net control with absolute perfect performance....
Only negative comment regarding this amplifier was initial cost, but, after months of perfect performance, would not hesitate to recommend this amp to anyone.....

Other Solid State Amps Don't Compare  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
A previous reviewer described all of the features of this amp very well. The built in fans are quiet. The preamp is superb. It gets close to 400 watts on the Bird. The fit and finish of this amp puts the other solid state vhf amp manufacturers to shame. I have owned Mirage, TE Systems, RF concepts and others and they just do not measure up to Tokyo Hy-Power.

Of course, the amp is pricey and the shipping directly from Japan is not cheap. You get what you pay for. I was amazed to get it in two days from Japan.

Email them and Nobuki will take of getting the amp out to you.

My only complaint is that these products are not available through a dealer in the US. Great job THP!

Excellent  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
These are a very nice amp, I have had no problems what so ever and would recommend them to anyone.
It will run 400 W until it gets to warm and drops back maybe to 380 W.

Nothing Compares  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
I have had this fine rare commerical looking amplifier for a couple months now, and use it almost daily.

Powered by a Astron 70 amp power supply, 4 guage cable and 20 amp AC circuit, will acheive over 400 watts on SSB and 350 on FM.

Nothing made even comapres, the line flow fan keeps this amplifier cool, longer.

Built in Voltage meter, Built in Auto SWR, Built in Wattage meter, keeps this top of the line amplifier leagues ahead of the competetion.

Built in Pre-amp with Attenuation also.

Triple power setting levels 5-25-50 watts, with two stage hi/lo on the front.

5 stars.

Nothing in Solid State, at this wattage, compares.
