One of the best keys  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
The Begali is the best in price/value I guess.
First I had a little trouble to adjust it to my
needs and went back several times again to my trusty
VIBROPLEX Lambic.

But I gave the SIMPLEX an other try for adjustment.
Now the Simplex is my standard paddle.
Other paddles I use: Vibroplex lambic, Schurr Profi

work of art  Time owned: more than 12 months
I've only been doing CW for about 18 months, but I bought the Begali Simplex over a year ago and I love it. It is absolutely beautiful to look at and to use. Can be adjusted for very short travel. Very solid feel and the palladium finish is very pretty.

Life is short and if you want to treat yourself to something of exceptional quality, buy a Begali key. The Begali family are very nice to deal with, also.

Extremely high quality Key  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I'll make this short. I just literally, unfortunately, inheirited this key from a good ham friend who is now SK. It is impressive, extremely sensitive, responsive to the touch and has a great range of adjustment. Really precision piece...and beautiful. If you appreciate Ducati motorcycles or Ferrari cars, you will love this key. The Italians have a unique way of combining artistic beauty and mechanical perfection. Not a cheap key, but you will not be disappointed. This is a NICE key. 73, K0ZN

Great Key & Great Service!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I ordered a Simplex at the first of the year and it arrived quickly but with a minor problem. It worked great but the screw holes in the base were stripped and I could not attach the cable grip. I contacted Begali and they sent replacement screws which did not work. Today I received a new replacement key which is as perfect as it could be. I was asked to ship the original key to Begali's US contact which was I was happy to do. They offered to pay me for the shipping cost so what more could one ask for. I also have a Begali Signature key and enjoy using both. I'm not sure which one I like the most. If you are thinking about getting a Begali for yourself, don't hesitate. I only wish that everyone was as easy to work with as they are.

Just got mine - very nice!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I just got the key yesterday. It arrived about a week after shipment, and they shipped it a few days after I originally ordered one.

I had originally ordered a gold finish key, for no other reason than it was a default on the web page. Bruna said the golds were out of stock for a few more weeks, and I asked if the Palladiums were available, so I went ahead with that.

While I didn't care much what finish the key has, it's beautiful. The plastic cover they illustrate it with is flimsy but the key is incredibly solid.

I played with the spacing and spring settings and quickly evolved from my previous preferences - a big gap with a lot of spring tension - to a small gap with low spring tension, just in an evening of ragchewing. Compared to my old key (the mechanics from a HD-1410) the adjustment granularity on the Begali is staggeringly fine. No matter how much or how little tension or spacing I wanted, I could adjust it there quickly and easily and it never ever budged.

Obviously I don't change keys or keyers very often - my previous one I had used for a quarter century - but it's also obvious that this key will not only be more than adequate, but also a joy to use into the future.

It comes with both plastic and aluminum fingerpieces, I will have to try them both. Right now I'm using the plastic.

Precision Art  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
A while back I acquired a used Begali Simplex key and I liked it so much I let a friend borrow it to try out. Now he won't give it back! So, the only thing to do was to order a new one...which I did. I ordered the new Simplex with the Palladium base which is a very classy finish. "Precision", "Art", "Craftsmanship", "Quality", are words that come to mind but it is simply a joy to use. CW is simply better with this key. I've owned a lot keys and Begali keys are the best and if you have never tried one, you owe it to yourself to do so. Don't be concerned about ordering on-line...it is simple and secure and the shipment to you is fast, safe and secure via the US Postal system. You will get e-mails from I1RTF's daughter, Bruna, acknowledging your order and letting you know when they ship. They are very nice and professional folks with excellent customer service. If you have been looking for a high quality CW paddle, give yourself a treat and try a Simplex.

Begali Simplex Paddle a Beauty  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I decided that it was time for a new paddle. My Vibroplex Paddle is still working well but is getting quite old now.

I looked through the magazines and read write ups on eHam and decided the I2RTF's Begali Key which I had seen and read about in the RSGB Radcom magazine was the one for me.
I chose the Simplex Gold.

An email was sent off to I2RTF with my order and an acknowledgement was received promptly.
Communications with the company were excellent and I was advised when my order was
shipped. The key arrived one week later well packaged and secured in the packing box.
The key is beautiful to look at and a pleasure to use.
The feel and responsiveness is excellent and the workmanship is top notch.
I look forward to having many FB Qso's with the
new Begali Paddle.

looking foward  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
After reading nothing but praise and the highest compliments of quality of the simplex, and smoothness of its operation, I bought the one. I will leave a review when i recieve it and when I give it a proper christening. After operating on the verge of qrv for a while, I decided to move up from the vibroplex vibrokeyer. So Im looking foward to use what many call the ferrari of code keys. More to come. 73 de k6wac AR SK
